Getting Started With PEIR!
To see a demo of PEIR, select “login” above, and enter the username demo and password demo.
To participate in PEIR you’ll need a mobile phone with a data plan, GPS capability (either built in to the phone or via an external GPS device), and web access.
The current release of PEIR requires:
- Nokia N80 with external GPS device, or
- Nokia N95 with built in GPS, and
- Web Access
We’ll soon be adding the ability for users to upload their location traces (GPS information) via GPX (GPS exchange format), so you can also participate if you do not have the above types of mobile phones. Check back for future updates about GPX upload availability soon.
To participate in PEIR as an individual user you’ll also need to accept a user agreement and privacy policy. You can view both of theses online before registering.

Collaborate With The PEIR Research Group
In addition to participating as an individual user, the PEIR Research Group is seeking collaborators to incorporate new models, strategies, and visualizations that can extend upon the PEIR framework.
