Participatory Sensing

participatory-sensing.pngResearcher Jeff Burke (REMAP/ CENS ) and colleagues presented their research on participatory sensing at the World Sensor Web Workshop. Their definition of participatory sensing includes the tasking of everyday mobile devices, such as cellular phones, to form interactive, participatory sensing systems that enable public and professional users to gather, analyze and share local knowledge.
